340 Fremont Street
340 Fremont Street is one of Handel Architects (NEMA, Millennium, Metreon, Four Seasons Tower) newest additions to San Francisco’s vibrant skyline in the vibrant SOMA neighborhood. The two-tower project is located on Fremont Street between Harrison and Folsom streets, as part of the Rincon Hill Plan. It combines 340 & 350 Fremont to create two towers. The main structure reaches 440 feet with 40 stories and is conjoined to a 9 story, 85 feet, podium topped with an outdoor terrace.
The exclusively residential project will feature 348 units, consisting of studios, one-bedrooms, and two bedrooms. 269 parking spaces will be located on three underground levels using stackers to maximize space. 340 Fremont offers competitively generous amenities: fitness center, yoga room, owner’s lounge, business center, game room, and pet grooming area.
The land was formerly occupied by the National Maritime Engineers Benefit Association and the Seafarer’s Union. To honor the history and heritage of maritime labor in the area, a publicly accessible display is planned for a mid-block passage off Fremont Street.
Suffolk Construction Company broke ground in April 2014 and is expected to complete construction in 2016.
