Nicholas joined Vanguard Properties in 2015, having chosen the brokerage because of its level of sophistication and innovative marketing. Nicholas immediately began partnering with some of the top producers in the brokerage. With the backing of a high-end company and top producers, he is able to connect clients to experienced designers, stagers, mortgage lenders, architects, or contractors. He often offers invaluable guidance, referrals, and friendly counsel.
A native of the Bay Area, Nicholas has deep family roots in San Francisco extending back four generations. From starting a prominent local grocery store chain to ownership in the San Francisco Flower Mart, his family has left an imprint on The City that Nicholas looks forward to expanding. Nicholas attended Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco before obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from Seattle University. He later went on to earn a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. Having instilled in him a sense of service to the community at an early age, Nicholas has worked in the Offices of Mayor Gavin Newsom, U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman, and U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein. He later left politics to continue to help others as a therapist with a local non-profit mental health organization.
The skills garnered through his experiences helped him seamlessly transition to real estate. He understands the importance of listening to client’s desires, understanding their needs, problem solving, and negotiating skillfully on their behalf. Growing up in San Francisco and working for its elected officials has provided him with an insider’s knowledge of the advantages of San Francisco’s neighborhoods, streets, and properties, as well as their past, present, and future.
